“Dr. Alan Breidahl has extensive training and over 25 years experience in plastic surgery.
Having achieved the highest level of Plastic surgery training in Australia, Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in Plastic Surgery, Alan undertook further training at craniofacial centres around the world, including London, New York, Los Angeles, Dallas and Taipei, preparing him for a career in facial surgery.
His experience includes a decade treating children with craniofacial conditions including rhinoplasty at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, and at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, where Alan continues to perform and teach rhinoplasty assessment and surgical techniques to plastic surgery trainees.
With over 25 years of post training experience in plastic and cosmetic surgery, including face lift (meloplasty), facial feminisation surgery, blepharoplasty, rhinoplasty, liposuction, breast augmentation and reduction (mammoplasty), Alan is well equipped to assist patients.
As an important adjunct to his work in Australia, Dr Breidahl has participated in many surgical missions to South East Asia, performing craniofacial reconstruction surgeries and teaching local surgeons through organisations such as Interplast and Operation Smile Australia.”

Training
Dr Breidahl’s extensive training in Medicine and Plastic Surgery has been undertaken in Australia, at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and St Vincent’s Hospital, as well as internationally, with residencies at New York University Hospital; University of California, Los Angeles; Great Ormond Street Hospital, London; Medical City Hospital, Dallas; and Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Taipei.
Dr Breidahl has consolidated his training by achieving the qualification of Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons in Plastic Surgery (FRACS), the highest level of qualification in the field. Dr Breidahl also holds a Master of Surgery and Master of Medicine from the University of Melbourne, as well as a post-graduate Diploma of Anatomy.
