Hand Surgery

Dr Breidahl is well trained and experienced in hand surgery, having completed post-graduate studies with a Hand and Microsurgery Fellowship at St Vincent’s hospital, in addition to the standard training in hand surgery within the plastic surgery fellowship. He is a member of the Australian Hand Surgery Society.

Practicing in a broad range of hand conditions, Dr Breidahl is particularly interested in the following areas:

  • Dupuytren’s contracture, utilising all treatment modalities, including needle fasciotomy, collagenase injections and surgery.
  • Joint replacement surgery for osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis
  • Carpal tunnel syndrome (both open and endoscopic techniques)
  • Tendon transfers
  • Treatment of ganglions
